SMS Program Terms

Last updated: 2026-09-16

Welcome to the SMS terms for First Year Flowers. We use text messaging as a highly reliable, low-friction channel to coordinate the recurring weekly deliveries of Shabbat flowers. This page details the exact mechanics, limits, and controls you have over this communication.

First Year Flowers Delivery Coordination

A giver funds a year of weekly Shabbat flower deliveries for a couple. The application texts the couple's delivery manager to confirm each week's address before candle-lighting, and texts the giver an approval request for each order.

The couple's delivery manager

Recipient delivery coordination

Weekly reminders to confirm or update the delivery address for that week's Shabbat, plus transactional replies to commands.

Frequency: 1 scheduled reminder per week, plus replies to user commands
Example message:
First Year Flowers: Your delivery is this Friday. Reply SAME to use: 123 Main... Reply with a full address to change it, or MANAGE for options.
The person funding the gift

Giver order approval

Review and approve the final quote and card note for each weekly order before submission.

Frequency: Up to 1 approval request per active program per week, plus replies to user commands
Example message:
First Year Flowers: Order review for 2026-03-20. Total: $65.00. Reply APPROVE X7Y9Z, REJECT X7Y9Z, or EDIT X7Y9Z to view full details.

Msg & data rates may apply.

This program works across major US carriers.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy: For privacy, full delivery addresses are never included in outbound messages to anyone, including the giver.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using the service. All delivery and approval actions can be managed securely in the web portal.

How to opt in

Consent to receive text messages is strictly individual. When a giver configures a new gift program and provides a couple's delivery manager phone number, that alone does not constitute consent.

The couple's delivery manager must explicitly opt themselves in during their onboarding flow (shown below). Consent to receive text messages is completely optional and is not a condition of using the service — all delivery management can be performed securely via the web portal.
